SouthEast Connector Project: September 2016 Flyover Video
The project team has created the September 2016 flyover video showcasing Phase 2 construction progress. Each video begins at the southern end of the project (Segment 1) at the current intersection of South Meadows Parkway and Veterans Parkway and concludes at the northern end of the project at Clean Water Way (Segment 4).
Major construction advancements since August’s video include:
- Increased earthwork in Segment 2 (between Alexander Lake Road and Mira Loma Drive).
- Pile driving completed for Mira Loma Bridge.
- Falsework of the southbound bridge decks in place of the Rosewood Lakes and Boynton Slough Bridges in Segment 3 (Rosewood Lakes Golf Course).
- Subgrade base laid and median curb and island installed in Segment 4 (UNR) to prepare for asphalt pavement.
You can watch the latest flyover video, and other videos featuring important aspects of the project, by visiting the ‘Videos’ page on the project website here. You can also subscribe to the SouthEast Connector Project and RTC Washoe channels on YouTube.
Boynton Slough Bridge to Receive Early Morning Concrete Pour
Granite Construction will be pouring concrete for the southbound deck of the Boynton Slough Bridge on Wednesday, November 2 beginning at 6 a.m.
The project team is taking several precautions to minimize any noise and light impacts to nearby residents. Equipment working in the area will have White Noise Backup Alarms to muffle the sound, and light plants will be setup facing away from residences.
Pembroke Drive Closure Reminder
Pembroke Drive will be closed between Bullocks Road and Steamboat Creek for approximately two months beginning October 31. Watch The Road Ahead with RTC video below for more information.
To help expedite the process, Granite Construction will be working on Saturdays at Pembroke Drive in an effort to reopen the road as soon as possible.
