SouthEast Connector Project: March 2018 Flyover Video

Dear Stakeholder:

The project team has created the March 2018 flyover video showcasing Phase 2 construction progress. Due to weather and the short month, the team was unable to fly during February. Each video begins at the southern end of the project (Segment 1) at the current intersection of South Meadows Parkway and Veterans Parkway and concludes at the northern end of the project at the intersection of Sparks and Greg Street (Segment 4).

Major construction advancements since January’s video include:

  • Trees planted at South Meadows/Veterans Parkway intersection
  • Continued reconstruction of the South Meadows/Veterans Parkway intersection
  • Continued construction of the northbound soffit of the Huffaker Bridge
  • Approach slabs of the Mira Loma Bridge poured with concrete
  • Increased construction of the Mira Loma intersection

You can watch the latest flyover video, and other videos featuring important aspects of the project, by visiting the ‘Videos’ page on the project website HERE. You can also subscribe to the SouthEast Connector Project and RTC Washoe channels on YouTube.

Current construction progress on the Huffaker Bridge.

Mira Loma Closure Begins in Two Weeks

To construct the intersection more quickly, Mira Loma Drive will be closed at the golf course for seven weeks beginning March 24. All traffic, including bicyclists and pedestrians, will detour to Pembroke Dr. The community can expect to see digital message boards with closure reminders beginning this weekend.

Rosewood Lakes and Heron’s Landing residents needing to use Fairwood Dr. and Heron’s Landing Dr. will not be impacted by the closure.
