SouthEast Connector Project Hosts UNR Engineering Tour

Dear Stakeholder:

The SouthEast Connector project team partnered with the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) College of Engineering Summer Camp on Thursday, July 14 to conduct an engineering tour for students interested in learning more about the industry. The group consisted of high school students ranging in age from 14-years to 18-years-old.

After giving a brief presentation, the project team hosted the students at four locations throughout the project corridor highlighting earthworks, structural and environmental aspects.

“Educational partnerships like this one offer students live field demonstrations and the opportunity to meet and learn from industry professionals,” said RTC Project Manager Garth Oksol.

Members from the public can also take a tour of the project and learn about construction activities, procedures and progress by registering on the project website under ‘Stay Involved’. Tours are offered on the fourth Thursday of each month.

For more information please call the project hotline at (775) 789-9832 or email Info@SouthEastConnector.com. For additional information and to sign-up to receive updates visit SouthEastConnector.com
