Project Overview

The SouthEast Connector is the final piece of a roadway that has been envisioned for 50 years and is now under construction. The SouthEast Connector (formerly the Tahoe/Pyramid Link) will provide a more efficient and safe alternative for commuters who travel between south Reno and east Reno/Sparks. The new roadway – to be called Veterans Parkway – will stretch 5.5 miles from the intersection of Greg Street/Sparks Boulevard at the northern end, to the existing intersection of Veterans Parkway/South Meadows Parkway at the southern end. The road will be three lanes in each direction, with new signalized intersections at Mira Loma Drive and Pembroke Drive. Additionally, it will improve and enhance the environmental ecosystem in the Truckee Meadows and offer recreational opportunities not previously available.
